About Me

When I create art there are certain elements, I use throughout my work, strong lines and bold color schemes being two of them. I consider myself to be a bold and outgoing individual, so it only makes sense for my art to mimic my personality. Branding design is an area in the graphic design field that I’m hoping to use my art for. The idea that art can be used to create an identity interests me. Going back to my art and techniques I like to use, the possibility that I could create something that could then, be used in the same vein as another notable branding like Nike or Apple fascinates me. When creating my art, I prefer to use more modern mediums. Adobe Illustrator and InDesign being the two applications that I use most frequently. They allow me to create from a single idea and then combine multiple pieces, as simplistic or intricate as I want, to make that one idea come to life.

However, I’ve recently started to use more traditional forms for creating work. I have been experimenting with charcoal, oil pastels, and plaster to name a few. In learning and working with these new mediums, I’ve had to leave my comfort zone of digital media, and consequently the comfort zone of my art. While others may use their art for whatever reasons that may be, I use my art as a form of escapism. It allows me to block out excess noise while putting my energy into something constructive.
